BC Tech provides quality work experience placements for ~50 high school students each year as part of their graduation requirements. Students learn the importance of coming to work, how to be part of a team and to refurbish computer equipment. Some of the equipment they work on might just be computers that are shipped to their school – talk about bragging rights!
CAP students are paired up with a technician to be mentored and then given the opportunity to work more independently. A supervisor is always on site to ensure technical questions can be answered, work flow progresses, and that the health and safety of all workers are looked after.
