Yesterday, we lent out 18 laptops for the Canadian Cyber Defence Challenge. The CCDC is a one day, scenario-based event made up of a series of exercises that help participating individuals develop some of the key technology foundation skills such as networks, servers, and security along with the soft skills of customer service, professional ethics, and communications.
It was held during the BC Aware Conference whose mission is to unify the various information technology, IT security, privacy, governance, and risk assurance organizations in British Columbia by creating a major privacy and security awareness initiative that each participating organization can embrace as its own. Through the cumulative, distributed efforts of all, we will be able to offer a grass roots-based, Made-in-BC series of events.
We are happy to be able to provide this kind of service as it aligns with our mission and values to support youth in developing their IT skills!
P.S. If you have an event coming up and need computers or laptops for the day, feel free to contact us, we may be able to help! 😀
