We can’t believe it’s already March — 2021 seem to be flying by and we’ve been busier than ever!
In February we shipped out a total of 802 computers, 439 of which were for the Connecting Families program. We’d like to extend a ginormous thank you to all of our technicians and warehouse staff for working so tirelessly to fill tech requests. They’re all heroes!
We are still in great need of laptop donations. Are you wondering if we can take your old laptop? We accept laptops that are iSeries or better, and are Windows 10 compliant. To learn more about the types of donations we need click here.
We received some large donations from new donors this past month as well! Thank you to Hootsuite, Cloud Collective and Kwantlen Polytechnic University for your support of BC Tech and the Computers for Schools Plus program. By donating your surplus tech, you have committed to helping in reducing e-waste and the digital divide.
We also recently learned that the Computers for Schools program is going to be used as a case study in an upcoming marketing textbook! It’s so neat to see all the ways our organization helps impact learning opportunities for youth.
Keep your eye on the Vancouver Sun in late March, we’ll be promoting a great piece on what BC Tech is all about for those need to know where their tech donations should be given. J
Your Donations Matter.
Until next time, stay healthy, and stay safe!
