Our Partnerships

We would not be able to do the great things that we do without the support of our wonderful partners!

Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada licenses and funds the Computers for Schools Program across the nation. As CFS licensee, this allows us to refurbish donated computers and distributes them to schools, libraries, not-for-profit organizations and Indigenous communities in BC. We are extremely appreciative for the tremendous support we receive.

CFSC is a national non-profit organization established in 2005, supporting Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada’s CFS program and its intended impacts of digital inclusion and economic development. CFSC-OPEC’s hub of services to the CFS program include marketing and communications, partnership development, project management, and strategic planning.

Telus is one of the nation's largest telecommunications companies (and one of our top donors!) and we partnered in 2016 for their Internet for Good initiative. Telus found that more than half of all Canadian families with incomes under $30,000 are without Internet connectivity and the 3 barriers stopping is price, hardware, and education. Telus tackled the price issue by providing internet for $9.95 a month and we tackled the hardware issue by offering our refurbished computers at a discounted rate. This initiative helped 1600+ B.C. families get connected!

MOSAIC is registered charity serving immigrant, newcomer, and refugee communities in BC for the past 40 years. MOSAIC is one of the largest settlement organizations in Canada. In 2015, we partnered with them to distribute computers to Syrian refugee families for the #WelcomeRefugees initiative. We provided over 600 computers for these families and are happy that we could make help them fully join our community. Since then, MOSAIC still distributes our refurbished computers to other immigrants and refugee families.
(Can your organization complement ours? We are always open to new ideas!
