Volunteer
Volunteers contribute hundreds of hours each year refurbishing computers at ReuseTechBC.
ReuseTechBC is always looking for volunteers! From students looking for work experience to retirees, our volunteers come from all backgrounds and experience levels. Are you handy with or interested in computer hardware? Come join us!
Volunteer Opportunities
We are looking for volunteers to support our daily operations, with various areas of expertise:
Refurbish and repair devices at our Burnaby workshop, including laptops, desktops, monitors, cell phones, tablets, and more;
Provide training and technical expertise to our interns;
Support our Donations team by working as an ambassador.
Do you have other skills or expertise that could benefit our organization? We want to hear about it!
Work Experience
We provide quality work experience placements for around 50 high school and university students each year as part of their graduation requirements. You’ll learn:
Basic computer knowledge - Learn how to identify different types of laptops, workstations, and more;
Basic computer refurbishment - Learn how to install hardware, test devices, deploy operating systems, and clean computers;
Inventory management - Learn how to process donations, computer e-waste, palletize computers, and barcode devices.
To volunteer, please contact Robert by phone at 604-294-6886 or send an email to HR@ReuseTechBC.ca.
